Elsewhere on the site you can meet the new line up, and take a brief look at the bands 32 year History. 2012 will see the 15th incarnation of the band unveiled for the first time and the hugely popular Rock Against Cancer show has already been booked for Saturday 20th October 2012 at the Robin 2 in Bilston. Tranzam return to the Stumble Inn - Cannock

After nearly 3 years the band are going back to one of their favourite venues. The Stumble Inn, Bridgetown, Cannock was a regular date in the TRANZAM diary for many years. We are really looking forward to playing The Stumble again and have nothing but the warmest respect for Jenny who always champions live music week in and week out.

Introducing John Townsend

Completing the 'new look' TRANZAM is Mr. John Townsend. The band were looking for a solid 'rock drummer' who could push the band with a dynamic sound.
Rick adds "We were also looking for someone who could become a 'brother' and join the rest of the "Tranzam Family". Tranzam always has and will always be about family. The band fits into your lifestyle, and we get together with our extended families now and again to celebrate birthdays etc. With this band we get to do all of the above and play some great music together. The fact that John is also a great drummer is the icing on the cake!"

John Turner returns

After an absence of 12 years John Turner is back as the bands lead singer. John said "I'm back where I belong. I always hoped that I would return, and always enjoyed the reunions and charity gigs. Now I can focus on fronting the band that I love full time."
This presents an exciting opportunity for the band as we can now re-visit some of the tunes we used to do in the 90's. John will also be adding some of the great tunes that he has covered in the intervening years.
I have approached this "new" line-up with a blank piece of paper, inviting the guys in the band to bring the songs they love into the set.
Both Ross and Ian have worked from an existing set that hasn't changed over the past 2 years, but we now have the time to put something new and exciting together. We will obviously take a look at some of the songs that John used to sing all those years ago, but we will also embrace new ideas and suggestions.
Tranzam has always been about giving the audience something that is a little different, so expect the songs you love and a few you forgot about.
